Class length: 3 hours

Skill level: This 3-hour class is perfect for beginners and those who’ve taken our Bite-Size and want to learn more.

Class Description: In this class you will stitch a set of colorful Koinobori (鯉のぼり – Japanese carp windsocks) just in time for summer. You’ll learn fly stitch, buttonhole stitch, stem stitch, bullion knot and whipped wheel, as well as some variations on these stitches. You’ll also learn all the basic techniques needed to complete the project, such as starting and stopping and separating strands of thread.

Kit Contents: five colors of cotton embroidery floss, blue twill fabric, and needles

Supplies: All materials will be mailed to you prior to the start of class. You will need to supply a pair of scissors.

Class Minimum: 3 students
