Class Description: This owl bookmark is inspired by an embroidered screen designed by May Morris during her time at Morris & Co. It also incorporates motifs from book covers she designed and stitched. It uses silk and cotton threads on a linen ground and features stitches favored by May Morris and the arts and crafts movement.
In this four-hour class, suitable for beginners, you will learn Herringbone stitch, Chain Stitch, Darning Stitch, and Buttonhole Stitch to create your own beautiful bookmark.
Kit Contents: Cotton and silk threads, fabric, needles, and instructions.
Supplies: All materials will be mailed to you prior to the start of class. You will need to supply a pair of scissors.
Class Minimum: 3 students
