This class is taught online via Zoom. Link to follow once registered.
Class length: 3 hours
Level: Beginner
When: Saturday, August 13th from 10 am – 1 pm PDT.
About: Join Mae McCourt as she guides you through an introduction to crewelwork embroidery by stitching this beautiful tiger among the flowers. Learn a variety of traditional crewelwork stitches, including seeding, buttonhole, satin stitch, fly stitch, stem stitch, and chain stitch.
Use your own colors or order an Appleton pack of five from SFSNAD for $15 (including shipping) to create your tiger in color story of your choice. Shown here in Appleton’s newest shades of crewel wool pastel on blush pink silk, stitchers will trace the design onto their own fabric and be able to reproduce the design on different grounds and in multiple colorways.
Supplies: No kit needed. Please contact info@sfsnad.org if you would like to order an Appleton pack or fabric!
