Class Description: In this two-day course, we explore the history and beauty of the distinctive English flower, the Tudor rose, through needlepainting and goldwork. Each Tudor rose possesses an inner cluster of white petals and an outer ring of red petals, and holds historical significance as a symbol of both regional conflict and national pride. This classic Tudor rose design includes felt padding with Japanese thread couching, chip work, and long and short silk stitching.
Equipment Needed: All materials will be mailed to you prior to the beginning of class. You will need to supply your own scissors.
