SNAD Studio Session

Got Stitcher’s (like writer’s) block? Join us for a Studio Session.

Studio Sessions are designed to be a space for creating any embroidery you can dream of, big or small. Bring a project you have been working on that you need help with, or come with ideas and we can help you bring your creation to life from scratch! This is also a great time to finish working on a piece you started in a SNAD class or at one of our Stitch Retreats.

Our expert instructors are knowledgeable about the entire embroidery process. They can help you with everything from design to transferring your pattern onto fabric, creating stitch plans, how to execute the stitches and combine techniques. During class you will have access to our extensive library of needlework books, tools for embroidery and design, and our shop of embroidery supplies.

Studio Sessions are perfect for both complete beginners and more advanced students. Each class has a ratio of one instructor to six students. This is a great affordable way to have a semi-private class, while being inspired by the other stitchers’ work around you!

We offer half-day, full-day, and evening Studio Sessions. Sign up for as many sessions as you need and on your own schedule. You must sign up by 12pm PST on the day before your studio session, to allow instructors time to prepare.

As a courtesy, once you sign up for the class, please fill out the form below to give the instructor a sense of the project you want to work on.

Supplies: Please bring with you whatever materials you think you will need for your project. We provide basic supplies for design work (e.g. rulers, lightbox, scissors, colored pencils) as well as embroidery hoops that can be borrowed during the class time. We also have a shop that sells basic embroidery supplies (e.g. needles, embroidery thread, frames).

Unfortunately, we are unable to take walk-in registrations for studio sessions, as our instructors take time to prepare for each student. We will be happy to book you into a future studio session if registration for this one has already closed.
