Class length: 3 hours

Class Description: Whitework is a broad term to describe a number of techniques worked in white thread on a white ground. Drawn threads, cutwork, pulled work, Hardanger, needlelace, and more fall under this category. In this class, you’ll learn a pulled stitch (diagonal cross filling), stem stitch, eyelets, and trailing stitch.

Supplies: All materials will be mailed to you prior to the start of class. You will need to supply a pair of scissors.

Try out different embroidery techniques in our Technique Taster Series! Each three hour class covers a different technique: crewelwork, needlepainting, goldwork, stumpwork, blackwork, whitework, needlepoint, and appliqué. You will have a choice of two different designs within each technique. This class is a great follow up to our Bite-size Embroidery for Beginners.

Class Minimum: 3 students
