Online Presentation via Webinar
Please join us with our second guest speaker for this month, Susan Weeks, founder and producer of Stitchery Stories, a podcast featuring textile art and embroidery artists from the UK and around the world.
In early 2017, Susan was looking for an embroidery podcast or a textile art podcast that featured mainly UK based textile artists and embroiderers. And she didn’t really find anything. Lots on knitting, and crochet, and dressmaking, and sewing, and quilting, and crafting, but nothing that really focused on textile art and embroidery. An idea began to take root…….
So she decided to create Stitchery Stories which is now one of the leading embroidery and textile art podcasts, with an audience from around the world. Susan is a textile art & embroidery enthusiast, and she is also an active member of her local Embroiderer’s Guild Hull & East Riding Branch, as well as a committee member on the Yorkshire & Humber Region of the Embroiderer’s Guild. Susan loves chatting with her guests about their art, but with running her podcast and her online business, she doesn’t spend as much time on her textile art as she would like to!
