SNAD has been given an amazing opportunity to raise money to support our Outreach and Community Service efforts which were all but shut down (except for virtual programming) during the pandemic. We have received a generous Matching Grant from the Henry Mayo Newhall Foundation for $25,000. We must raise the matching $25,000 by December 31, 2021 to receive this grant – and we are almost there!
Your donation will help us to reach this goal and when it does, each dollar will be doubled. Every dollar counts, so please help us turn $25,000 into $50,000! Gifts of all sizes are welcome and appreciated.
This grant will be used for the following:
The Stitch-At-Home Challenge outreach and exhibition.
Our weekly Stitch-Ins, online and in-person.
To re-activate the “World’s Largest Band Sampler” program.
To expand our free Community Outreach offerings, on-site and online.
To increase collaborations with organizations with a focus on cross-generational connections.
To provide free materials at our community events and to ship supplies to our virtual events.
To continue to bring an international speaker presence to our community – to educate and share knowledge and cultural awareness, and to keep these events free or accessible to all.
All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. San Francisco School of Needlework and Design is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
