Class length: 3 hours

Skill level: Great for beginners or anyone wishing to brush up on their embroidery skills

Class Description: Learn the basics of needlepainting in just three hours! Needlepainting uses long and short stitches with single strands of cotton or silk thread to create realistic depictions. Very detailed stitching produces shading and depth, and imagery is traditionally taken from plant and animal world. Stitches include long and short stitch, and stem stitch.

Supplies: All materials will be provided to you in class.

Try out different embroidery techniques in our Technique Taster Series! Each three hour class covers a different technique: crewelwork, needlepainting, goldwork, stumpwork, blackwork, whitework, needlepoint, and appliqué. You will have a choice of two different designs within each technique. This class is a great follow up to our Bite-size Embroidery for Beginners.

Class Minimum: 3 students
